Bobby Joe Powell, Sr., age 74, of Perdue Hollow Road, Bluefield, WV died on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.Born on May 23, 1943 in McDowell, WV, he was a son of the late Elbert and Lydia Pearl Conn Powell. He had lived in Bluefield for the past 25 years and was a retired coal miner with 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the UMWA. Paul Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. His family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
