Bobby W. Bailey

Bobby W. Bailey, 92, of Itmann, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at his home.

Born on December 6, 1931 in Crumpler, WV, he was a son of the late Lawson and Belva Bailey. He had been a resident of Itmann, WV most of his life and was a retired 39-year coal miner at #3 mines in Itmann and member of the UMWA. He loved his family, hunting, and watching baseball and westerns.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Bailey, a daughter, Melody; brothers, Nathan and Lonnie; and sisters, Madeline, Sylvia and Elleen.

Survivors include his son, Ricky Bailey of Itmann, WV; daughter, Sheila Bailey of Princeton, WV; brothers, Larry (Bonnie) Bailey of Crumpler, WV, Carl (Wilma) Bailey of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Nanna Cook of Akron, OH; brothers in law, Roger (Willie) Rose of Dandridge, TN and Dennis (Becky) Rose of Jackson, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Minister Rick Mathena officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services on Thursday, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
