Betty Jean Taylor

Betty Taylor, 83, of Bluefield, VA, passed away October 9th, at Lewis Gale Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Dewey Dawson and Alta Dawson. Shes proceeded in death by her partner of many years Bud Brown, her children, Harold Sput Taylor, Lana Childress, Grandsons Bentley Childress, Riley Childress, brothers Dusty Dawson, Wayne Dawson, and Tommy Dawson.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Debbie Jones (Ray), Brothers Rick Dawson (Jane), Donny Dawson (Peggy), Larry Dawson (Linda), Tony Dillon (Kathleen), grandchildren Scotty Shrader (Stefanie), John Childress (Barbara), Taylor Bosley (Samuel), Presley Riffe, Miles Pearson, Madison Shrader, and Landon Childress.

Also left to cherish her memory are her special granddaughter and caregiver Amber Taylor and special son in law Dale Childress (Angie).

Everyone that knew her loved her. She never met a stranger.

Viewing will be Friday October 13th at 1pm followed by services at 2pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Rev. Dr. Doug Hyndrich will officiate. Burial will Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
