Betty Terry Mills, 84, of Bluewell, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Rocking Chair Residential Care in Lerona. Born on December 17, 1932 in Keystone, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Rebecca Woolwine Terry. Betty graduated from the Little French Beauty Academy in Bluefield. She owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop in Bluefield, VA, Bramwell, and Bluewell for many years. She also provided hair services and planned parties at Cumberland Care in Bluefield. She finished her working career at the Stone & Thomas Department Store at the Mercer Mall. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church on Highland Avenue in Bluefield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Mills; brothers, Sherman, Jack, and Landon Terry; sisters, Elizabeth Knight, Louise Murphy, and Anne Robinett. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow with Cody Crews, Nolan Mullins, Michalan Chapel, William Chapel, Charles Workman, and Aaron Ayers serving as pallbearers.
