Betty Lou Halsey, 86, of Mim Lane, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at her home.

Born on April 9, 1934 in Kimball, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Ida Lambert Trump. She had been a resident of Brushfork for 55 years and attended Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork. She was a retired self-employed caterer and former deli manager at Acme.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Carl Halsey; 3 sons, Michael, Ricky and Jamie; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Halsey of Bluefield, WV, and Barry Halsey of Bluefield, WV; and daughter, Stephanie (Jim) Cook of Narrows, VA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Dorothy Morgan of Welch, WV, Celia Maxwell of Sumter, SC, Carol Evans of Bluewell, WV, and Rita Compton of Bluewell of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Gene Sizemore officiating.

Friends may call on Monday prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
