Betty Bailey

Betty Day Bailey, 84, of Camilla Drive (Bluewell), Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her home.

Born on April 20, 1935 in Pikes County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Sofia Myers Day. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 5 years and was previously of McDowell County. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Blake Bailey and a son, Danny Lee Workman.

Sons: Howard (Alice) Workman of Pineville
Donald Ray (Susan) Workman of Lashmeet
Carl (Patty) Workman of Anawalt

Daughters: Jenny Workman of Sandlick
Betty Scott of Sandlick
Anna (Mark) Scott of Sandlick

Adopted son: Zackery Bailey of the home

16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Robert Huddler officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Monday, prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
