Bessie Lee Hall Gentry, 79, of Crumpler, WV, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at her home.
Born on November 10, 1940 in Wyoming County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Vida White Hall. She had been a resident of Crumpler for most of her life and was a member of the Crumpler United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Gentry; and a granddaughter, Joni Rodino.
Survivors include her son, Aaron (Barbara) Gentry of Bluefield; two granddaughters, Victoria “Bug” Gentry and Alyssa Bailey; one grandson, Michael A. (Amy) Gentry; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Sabo and Leigha R. Gentry; three great-grandsons, Jacob White, Hunter Sabo and Kaden Gentry, all of Crumpler, WV; brother, Fairley (Pat) Hall of Crumpler; sisters, Juanita Rorrer of Hillsville, VA, Shirley Rorrer of Crumpler, WV, and Dorothy “Dottie” Dalton of Crumpler.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to their friends and employees at Walgreens in Bluewell.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Mark Smearman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Monday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
