Bernice Marie Hale

Bernice Marie Hale, 86 of Bluefield West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. While she lived a few places over her lifetime, she loved West Virginia the most and always called it “home”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Hale.

She was survived by her 6 children, Charles and Ruby Hale; Anthony and Catherine Hale; Gerald and Becky Hale; Valerie (Hale) and William Shoe; Nathan and Valerie Hale; Steven and Jennifer Hale; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Rita Flower of Florida and Ruby Pilkins of Crete, Illinois.  She was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Riggins officiating. The funeral service will follow visitation with burial immediately after at Woodlawn Memorial.
