Barbara Sizemore

On April 19, 2023 our beloved mother, Barbara Sizemore, surrounded by her five living children, gained her wings and joined Daddy, Randy, Derrick, Elly and all her other beloved family and friends and is now healthy and walking those streets of gold.

She was born March 9, 1935 in Worth, WV, to the parents of Raymond Willien and Hazel Moore Heinbuch ,who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved firstborn son, Randy, the sweetest grandson Derrick, and beloved daughter in law Elly. She was the oldest and last survivor of 8 siblings. Raymond (Jr) Willien; Clarence Willien; Billy Willien; Joseph Willien; Anthony Willien; Jimmy Green; and her only sister Ruth Ann Hawkins.

She met and married the truest love of her heart, Edward Preston Sizemore Jr at a very young age. Prior to his death in 2018, they were married 66 years and raised a beautiful family of 6 children.

Left to cherish her memory are 5 children: Joan (John) Harsanyi; Sandy(Rick) Counts; Dwane Sizemore; Dwight (Brenda) Sizemore all of Princeton WV and Julia(Jesse) Peery of Indian Trail, NC. She has 10 living grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She has very special friends Danny and Dana Smith; Betty Thomason and family; Ruth Hoosier, and Libby Worrell .

Mom was a nurse and was on the first IV therapy team at Princeton Community Hospital and worked there for many years.

While her health allowed she attended church at the old regular Baptist church.

Her celebration of life will be held at Cravens- Shires Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM and her eulogy will be done by the Reverends Charles and Sharon Miller.

Visiting with the family will be one hour prior to the services.

She will be interred in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell alongside of her beloved husband.
