Barbara Jean Richardson

Barbara Jean Spicer Richardson 83, of Bluefield, WV. passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024, after a long illness.  

Born October 19, 1940, to the late Henry Marvin and Myrtle Mathena Spicer of McComas WV.  She is also preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Lusk, Martha Spicer, Janet Gary and brother Roger Spicer.

Those left to cherish Barbara's memory are her husband James Richardson of the home.  Son Donald Richardson and Lisa of Clemmons, NC. daughters, Kathy Mitchell and Tony of Bland, VA.  Karen Puckett and Harry of Knoxville, TN. Chrissy McCracken and Ralph of Mayodan, NC.  Brothers, Charles Spicer, Marvin Spicer, Bobby Spicer and sister, Opal Gross.

Five Grandchildren, Kevin Richardson, Jason Richardson, Brandon Puckett, Jessica Mitchell and Garrett McCracken. Six Great Grandchildren, Jackson, Kenley and Kayden Richardson, Lily Mitchell and Rowen Keen, Carter and Londyn Puckett.

The family would like to thank Christine Finley and Amedisys Hospice Care for the love, care and support during our mother's illness.

Barbara was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Bluefield.

Private graveside services will be held at the Woodlawn Mausoleum on Monday April 15, 2024, at 2 pm with Pastor C.T. Lilly III officiating.
