Barbara Kay Carter

Barbara Kay Carter, 50, of Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield.  Born on February 18, 1970 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Bee Collins and the late Trula Underwood.  She had been a resident of Bluefield for eleven years.

Those left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her husband, Elmer Carter of the home; fur baby, Harley of the home; two brothers, Roger Collins and fiancé, Melissa Cecil of Cool Ridge, WV, and Bobby Collins of Texas; one sister, Brenda Collins of Texas; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Brenda Blankenship and Rev. Bonnie Sawyers officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Nick Collins, Roger Collins, Kevin Hale, Elmer Carter, Bobby McCoy, and James McCoy serving as pallbearers.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
