Barbara Ann Woods

Barbara Ann Woods, age 77, of Brushfork, went peacefully to be with the LORD on January 23, 2024.

She was born number 7 out of 14 children on September 15, 1946 to the late Elsvan and Albenia Crigger Johnson. She was a member of Fairview Christian Community Church. She married the love of her life, the late James Edward Woods. She worked for Kmart for many years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Charles Johnson; and 7 sisters, G. Mae, Betty, Shelby, Brenda, Linda, Ruth, and Sheila.

Left to cherish her memory:

Brother: Elsvan Johnson, Jr.

Sisters: Cecil Sheaves, Ethel (Dale) Davis and Rebecca Carol Johnson

She is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Larry Dyer and Blake Bivens officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where pallbearers will be Nephews and Friends. Friends may call on Monday evening from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home. The family is accepting online condolences at www.cravens-shires.com.  

The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, 3431 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV is in charge of arrangements.
