Barbara Ann Crabtree Pertee, 72, of Bluerock Circle, Princeton, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.Born on December 10, 1944 in Big Sandy, she was a daughter of the late Girley and Bertie England Crabtree. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church and was past president of the McDowell County Home Makers Club and was a member of the democrat Women’s Association. She attended Welch High School and was a former nutritional aide.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Pertee Elliot; brothers, Jesse, Jack and Clarence Crabtree; and a sister, Opal Crabtree.Survivors include:Sons:     Charles (Chuck) Pertee and wife Melanie of Virginia Beach, VA                 John Pertee and wife Mary Ann of Princeton                 Joshua Pertee and companion Amber Ross of Portsmouth, VADaughter:            Sheri Fraser and husband John of Dinwiddie, VA10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildrenBrother:               Chester Crabtree and wife Maggie of IaegerSisters: Mildred England of Mullins, WV                 Letty Jones of Princeton Special caregivers:           Willa Cooper, Tammy Monk, Bonnie Russell, Laura Leonard, and Jean AllenFuneral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Elders Thurman Belcher and Dennis Burks officiating. Burial will follow at the Elkhorn Community Church Cemetery on Belcher Mountain in Welch where Larry England, Turk England, Cleat Pertee, Eddie Sorah, Cotton Pertee and Sammy England will serve as pallbearers.Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.
