Ayden Jayce Knight, age 2, of 7275 New Hope Road, Bluefield, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord September 13, 2018.
Ayden was the beloved son of Alana Fawn Simpson and Jonathon Edward Knight and is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Pamela Knight and maternal great-grandmother Bessie Severt and maternal great-grandfather Eugene McPeak.
He is survived by parents, Alana and Jonathon, brother, Steven Simpson, grandparents William Knight and Violet Coffey, Tony and Dana McPeak, uncles Christopher Hubbard, William Joseph Knight, aunt Kristin Knight and many cousins.
Ayden was a beautiful, happy child who filled people’s heart with joy with his beautiful smile and laughter. In his brief life, he touched so many and all too soon he was taken by the angels to be in the arms of Jesus. He loved his family, puppies, kittens, Mickey Mouse, coloring, throwing pebbles into mud puddles, and playing with his brother and his toys. He was our world. The Lord saw fit to put him beyond this world’s reach where he can never be touched by evil, strife, or corruption. He is in a land of endless day, laughing and playing with angels, walking with Jesus and his grandmothers, Bessie and Pam. He is surrounded by all the saints who have gone on before to welcome him to his new home. He will never feel pain, never be sick and never grow old, dwelling forever in the house of the Lord. We will count the days until we see you again, sweet Ayden.
Services will be held at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Pettrey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
