Audrey Adkins

Gary – Audrey Mabry Adkins, 86, of Gary, formerly of Wilcoe, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Greg and Noreen Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY. 

Born November 12, 1934, in Max Meadows, VA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Mabry.  She was the widow of Nathan Adkins who passed away in 2004.

She was a resident of Wilcoe the greater part of her life.  She was of the Methodist faith and faithfully attended Gary United Methodist Church, where she worshiped surrounded by her many friends and neighbors.  She was formerly employed for many years by Sears and Roebuck in Welch.

Mrs. Adkins was the last survivor of the seven children of Henry and Mary Mabry.  Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She had two very special people in her life, Caregiver, Wayne Hoback of Gary and Bill Cottles of Florida.

Graveside services will be conducted by the family at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00AM with her nephew, Danny Rose officiating.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
