Arnold Coffey

Arnold Coffey, 84, of Bluefield and formerly of Welch, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 5, 2017 after an 18 year battle with Parkinson’s.   He had been a resident of Bluefield for over 30 years and attended the First Church of God in Bluefield, VA. He was retired from the US Postal Service with 34 years of service.   He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Coffey, granddaughter, Pamela Coffey; parents, Mary and Howard Coffey; brother, Woodrow Coffey; and 2 brothers and a sister who died in childhood, Buford, Kenneth and Claudia Sue.   He is survived by his:   Wife of 60 years, Joyce Coffey of the home Son: Roger Coffey of the home   2 sisters:              Barbara Belcher of Huntington, WV Charlotta Legg of VA   5 brothers:         Manuel Coffey of Princeton                                 Jerry Coffey of Vienna, VA                                 Darrell Coffey of Haymarket, VA                                 Harold Coffey of Georgetown, VA                                 Clifton Coffey of Quinwood, WV   Many nieces and nephews and in laws   Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Diane Hall, a good friend, officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
