Alma Geraldine "Jerry" Easter

Alma Geraldine “Jerry” Easter, 87, of Bluewell, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Princeton Health Care Center.

Born on April 9, 1932 in Chatam Hill, VA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Virginia Carter Wilson. She had been a resident of Bluewell for 65 years and was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church. At her church, she belonged to the Loyalettes Sunday School Class, the Laura Wheeler Circle, and the XYZ Club. She was also a devotions leader. She was a 1950 graduate of Gary High School and was certified in radiology technology. She formerly had worked for Dr. Yost, Dr. Vaughan, Stone & Thomas, and Belk. After her retirement, she was an evening hostess for Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell where she enjoyed seeing many of community friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Easter in 1986 and her daughter, Karen Leigh Snidow in 2016.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Hart of Bluefield, WV; a grandson, Brian (Elizabeth) Hart and their daughter Ivy of Bluefield, VA; granddaughters, Heather (Joey) Yahya and their children Caleb and Jadyn of Princeton; Jordan (Jordan) Hosby and their children Oliver and Aneeri of Charles Town, WV.  

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Bluewell United Methodist Church in Bluewell with Rev. Melissa White officiating. Burial will follow at the Ridgedale Cemetery in Ridgedale, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church, from 10:00-11:00 AM.
