Allen Wesley Perry, Jr.

Our beloved son, Brother Allen Wesley Perry, Jr., age 57, of Bluefield (Bluewell) WV passed away on Saturday February 8, 2020 at Charleston Area Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born on August 27, 1962 in Chicago, IL, he was a son of Dana M. Rowe of Bluewell and the late Allen Wesley Perry, Sr. Allen had been a resident of Bluefield most of his life and was affiliated with the Holiness Faith. He was a friend to all who knew him! His personality was to make everyone smile and laugh all of the time. He was truly one of a kind and our lives will never be the same without him.

 In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Grace and John Rowe; and paternal grandparents, Irma Perry Gannon and Alonzo Perry.

He was a loving Grandpa to four Grandsons, Eric, Alex, Spencer and Alija as well as two Granddaughters, Maleagha and Alyssa. He also was a loving Uncle and Great-Uncle to six Nieces and Nephews as well as 11 Great-Nieces and Nephews.

A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, 3431 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV (Bluewell) at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2020 with Rev. Raymond McHone officiating.

Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA where his friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
