Violet Louise Finney

                Violet Louise Finney, 81, of Red Oak Ridge Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2017 at her residence.                 Violet was born on July 18, 1935 in Kyle, WV to the late Lawrence and Annie Ray York. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and attended Deliverance Temple. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three children Edward Finney, Ricky Finney and Sandy Finney.                 Violet is survived by her husband of 62 years Troy Finney of the home, four sons David Wayne Finney and wife Gennette of Bluefield, WV; Matthew W. Finney and wife Ashley of Max Meadows, VA; Troy Mark Finney of Drexel, NC and Darrel Blane Finney of Drexel, NC.  Violet is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.                   Funeral service will be held for Violet on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV with Rev. Billy Sadler and Rev. Eric Nunley officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV where David Finney, Mark Finney, Matthew Finney, Darrell Finney, Jason Finney and Aaron Finney will be serving as pallbearers.                 The Finney family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
