Joyce Lee Martin

Joyce Lee Martin, 77, of Red Oak Ridge Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home.   Born on June 11, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Jake and Grace Gillespie Strong. She had been a resident of Red Oak Ridge for 60 years and was of the Holiness faith. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter for 60 years.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Warren Martin; brother, Billy Strong, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Pack and Susan Dawson.   Survivors are her only daughter, Dorothy Lee Martin of the home and several nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastors N.R. Taylor and Marquinta Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Larry J. Green, Jimmy Blankenship, Cailan Blankenship, Tyler Blankenship, Clifford Mitchem, and Alvie Bailey will serve as pallbearers.   Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compassus; 1330 Mercer Street, Princeton, WV 24740.   Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00-1:00PM at the funeral home.
