Janice L. Stevens Burress

Janice L. Stevens Burress, age 72 of Prophetstown, IL formerly of Montcalm, WV passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. Janice was born on August 13, 1944 in Montcalm, West Virginia, the daughter of Frank and Mamie Stevens. She married Edward Kenneth Burress on October 30, 1960 in Bluefield, Virginia. Janice was a homemaker all her life In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Neal. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Burress; Two sons, David (Missy) Burress of Prophetstown and Michael (Tommy) Burress of Cleveland, Ohio; One granddaughter, Sierra Burress; One sister, Shelby Kelley of Bluewell, West Virginia; One brother, Garnett (Mary) Stevens of Rock Falls, IL and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Graveside rites will be at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the Prophetstown Ambulance service in Janice's memory.
