Augustine C. Pollard

                Augustine C. Woods Pollard, 74, of Bluefield, WV passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV.                 Augustine was born on July 11, 1942 in Dante, VA to the late William R. and Cleo Taylor Woods. She had been a resident of Bluefield since 1971. Augustine was the retired owner and operator of Pollards Construction Company. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.                 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Martin D. Pollard and one brother William Woods, one sister Barbara Brooks, Shirley Camron and her husband Donald R. Pollard.                 She is survived by her son Donald Dewayne Pollard and wife Heather of Wytheville, VA and daughter Cynthia Ann Carl and husband Charles of Charleston, WV. Two Sisters Thelma Ruth Meade and husband Roger of Tazewell, VA and Juanita Williams of Harrisonburg, WV. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.                 Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Courtney Wallace who is a family friends and she thought of as a son officiating her service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers.                 The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  at the funeral home.                 Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
