David William Bailey

            David William Bailey, 67, of Elkhorn, WV formerly of Bluefield, WV passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at McDowell Nursing and Rehab in Gary, WV.                 David was born on June 22, 1949 in Worth, WV to the late Earl Bailey and Ann Barber Bailey. He had been a resident of Bluefield for twenty three years and had resided in McDowell Co., for the past three years. David was a former volunteer at the Bluefield Union Mission and has won several gold medals in the Special Olympics for bowling.                 He is survived by his two brothers Paul Bailey of Worth, WV and Michael E. Bailey of Elkhorn, WV.                  Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV with Rev. Paul Wheeler officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.                 The family will receive friends and relative on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                 Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
