Nancy Lee Blackburn

Nancy Lee Blackburn, age 83, of Airport Road, Bluefield, WV, went to be with her Lord and husband on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home.   Born on February 26, 1933 in Princeton, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Nina Beatrice Lamb Caldwell. She had been a resident of Bluefield for most of her life and was a member of the Maple View Church of Christ and was a former telephone operator.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Grant Blackburn, Sr.   Survivors include:   One brother Lewis “Bud”Caldwell, and wife Regina of Lawrenceburg, KY   One Sister JoAnn Jones, and husband Carl “Corky” Jones of Bluefield, WV   One son Robert G. Blackburn Jr. and wife Sally of Bristol, TN   One daughter Robyn Phillips and husband Mike of Bluefield, WV   Special friend and honorary daughter Barbara Jean Rider husband Pete of Abbs Valley, VA   Grandson:           Robert “Grant” Blackburn, III of Springville, VA   Granddaughters:              Jennifer Lynn Reid and husband Kelly of Bristol, TN Lindsey Nicole Meadows and husband Dustin of Bluefield   Step grandsons:                               Justin and Aerick Phillips of Bluefield   4 Great grandchildren:   Austin Faulkner, Emily Blackburn, Keilan Reid and Brayden Blackburn   She was blessed to have some wonderful caregivers:  Collette Coleman, Loretta Call, Vickie Barnette, Kandace Barnette, Bryana Lester, Angie Lambert and her grand-daughter Lindsey Meadows.   Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.   Friends may call on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.   Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
