                Rodney Lee Hoback, Jr., 26 of Guinea Mountain Road Pearisburg, VA passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.                   Rodney was born on August 21, 1990 in Bluefield, WV to the late Rodney Lee Hoback, Sr. and Martha Eldridge Hoback.  He had been a resident of the Pearisburg, VA area for the past 10 years and a Veteran of the US Army. Rodney truly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his older brother.                   In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William Hoback and Margaret Hoback Shrader; maternal grandparents Frank and Lilla Akers; Two Uncles Larry and Mack Hoback and one aunt Opal Cornwell.                   Survivors include his brother Billy Ray Dudley and fiancé Deanna Meadows of Bluefield, WV; sister Lisa Ann Spracer of SC; Two nephews Austin and Josh Fuda; Foster parent’s Corrine and Lorie Paxton of VA; Uncles Bill Hoback and wife Carolyn of TN, James Eldridge of WV, Hager Eldridge of SC and Roger Eldridge and wife Louise of FL; aunts Kathy Kinzer of WV, Cammie Nunley and husband Russell of WV, Bea Hellas and husband Donald of VA and Carol Colling of VA. Cousins Corinna Allen, Clyde Walters, Hope Walters, Julie Walters, Nikki Eldridge, James Eldridge Jr., Jennifer Eldridge, Punkin Gills, Jessie Gills, Toyna Eldridge, Tabbie Eldridge, Donna Kay, Michael Hoback, Dreamas Houseman, Melissa Harry, Randall Winingham, Donna Hellas, D.J. Hellas, Carolina Schlemminger, Angie Wess and Melody Hoback. Step nephew Branson Meadows and Step niece Cheyenne Meadows. Special friends Rhonda and Nikki Meadows of WV.                   The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV.                 In lieu of flower memorial contributions can be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in honor of Rodney to help defray funeral costs.
