Charles Michael Woods

Charles Michael “Mike” Woods, age 62 of Old Linwood Road, Lexington passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mike was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on March 22, 1954 to Garnett Lewis Woods, Sr. and Mary O’Donnell Woods. He was employed with Davidson County Schools as a custodian with South Davidson School. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Woods and sisters, Barbara Sue Woods Houck and Marie Annette Woods. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Woods Hubert of Hartsville, SC; two grandchildren; sister, Sharon K. Woods Nameth (Wally) of Wisconsin; brothers, Garnett Lewis Woods, Jr. (Linda) of Wisconsin, Roger Dean Woods of Richmond, VA and Leslie Lee Woods (Donna) of West Virginia.  Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Buck Houck, PO Box 1173, Lexington, NC  27293. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
