Sheryl Jean Oiler, 69, of Montcalm, WV went home to be with her Savior on Friday, December 30, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Sheryl was born on July 6, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Vinson and Christine Epperson. Sheryl dearly loved her family, friends and her church family. Her home was always open to anyone who stopped by. She was a faithful listener and would encourage others to serve the Lord. Her feisty, but loving personality let you know just where she stood. She always lived life with joy no matter her circumstances. Church was her passion and she was a member of the Montcalm Church of God. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Walter E. Oiler, Sr. Daughters; Candace L. Hash, Heather D. Bailey and Regina E. Kipps. Sons; Walter E. Oiler, Jr., Brian L. Oiler and Joseph D. Oiler. Son-in-Law, Clayton D. Kipps. Eleven Grandchildren; Christina Hensley, James Hensley, Brittany Hensley, Kendra Hedges, Caleb Kipps, Brianna Proffitt, Travis Delorso, Ceaireia Christian, Tiffany Christian, Jonah Christian and McKayla Oiler. Five Great Grandchildren; Paris Bell, Daryl Bell, Khia Day, Ragan Day and Landon Day. Two very special sisters; Laurenda Stiltner and Karen Meadows. Brothers; Vinson C. Epperson, Jr. and David E. Epperson. Many friends, nieces and nephews. Sheryl will be deeply missed by those who loved her so much. There will forever be a void in our lives, but we know that she is now rejoicing in Heaven and is no longer suffering. A special thank you to all those who visited, ministered to and sit with Sheryl and her family during her illness. Words cannot express our heartfelt appreciation. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with the Rev. Mac Riggins and Rev. Clayton Kipps officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.
