Johnny "Boogie" Buzzo, Jr of Bluefield, West Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 7, 2016. He fought a long illness for years but has gone home to rest high on the mountain and is able to walk again with his loved ones. Welcoming in Heaven, are his parents, Johnny and Dot Buzzo; his sister, Janet Miller; and his beloved son, Timmy. His in-laws, R A and Louise Hale were there to welcome his as well. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Hale) Buzzo of Bluefield; son, Tommy Buzzo and his wife Karen of Stafford, Virginia; Johnny Buzzo, III and his wife Tracey of Roanoke, Virginia; and Timmy's widow Karen Buzzo of Moneta, Virginia; five grandchildren, Judy, Travis, Morgan and Alex Buzzo and Cody Brewster; one great grandchild, Charlie Brewster; and loved in-laws, George "Buck" and Pat Hutchinson. Boogie served his country as an airman in the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. He continued his service to his community as a firefighter for the City of Bluefield for 27 years. Boogie had a love for 55 Chevys that he shared with his friends and family. He loved to restore classic cars, building too many to count, but was never satisfied unless it was a 55. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with internment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be: Dickie Bishop, Shawn Comer, Donnie Gott, Tom Miller, Don Sowder and Kenny Thompson. Visitation will be this Friday, December 9th at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
