Walter Goins

Walter W. Goins, age 78, of Razorback Road (Duhring), Bluefield, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his home. Born on October 19, 1938 in Goodwill, he was a son of the late Glen Floyd and Pearl Virginia Goins. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 50 years and was a member of the Falls Mills Christian Church.  He worked for 25 years for Bluefield Supply and 15 years for the City of Bluefield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Goins; and siblings, Melvin, Ray, Roger and Conley Goins. Survivors include his daughter, Robin Lynne Goins Love of Bluefield; sister, Judy Bragg and Harry of Cool Ridge, WV; brothers, Donnie Goins and wife Betty of Bramwell, James Goins and wife Arlene of Duhring, Harold Goins and wife Elsie of Princeton, and Kelly Goins and wife Vickie of Bramwell; brothers in laws, Cletis Shillings, Ronald Sadler, Johnny Dequino, and Jack Mullins; and sisters in law, Susie DeQuino, Charlotte Dillon, Carol Shillings; several nieces and nephews; and a special love, Olivia Dotson. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Ministers Frank Watkins and Harold Goins officiating.  Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Tommy Keyes, Ronald Saddler, Freddy Kirby, Cletis Shilling, Tyson Goins, Bryan Goins, and James Sadler serving as pallbearers. Leroy Mabe will serve as honorary pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
