Anna Laura Bennett

Anna Laura Bennett, 87, of Tammy Lane, Falls Mills, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home.   Born on October 7, 1929 in Crumpler, WV, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Grace King Young. She had been a resident of Falls Mills for 25 years and was retired from GTE. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harry Young, Jr. and Edward Young.   Survivors include her husband, Walter A. Bennett, Jr.; a son, Kenneth Taylor and wife Ralana of Bluefield, VA; stepchildren, Nikki Wagner of Princeton, Sandy Stephenson and husband Scott of Falls Mills, VA, and Keith Bennett and wife Tammy of Falls Mills, VA; 2 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Dorton of Salem, VA.   Cryptside services will be conducted by Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Ray E. Petty, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
