Denise Diana Kapish

Denise Diana Kapish, 37, of Gary, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.   Born on August 20, 1979 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of Frank Kapish of Gary and the late Marianna McCray Kapish. She had been a lifelong resident of Gary for all of her life and was a graduate of Mt. View High School and Marshall University. She had formerly worked as a secretary for the Conservation Corp. Denise loved life and enjoyed all of her family and friends. She never met a stranger.   In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Michael Kapish, III.   Survivors include her father, Frank Kapish of Gary and her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary McCray of High Point, NC.   Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Terry Lambert and Rev. Roney Marrs officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where David and Kevin Doss, Jim and john Castle, Bobby Rose, Jr., and Daniel Drake will serve as pallbearers. Sonny Castle, Anthony Miano and Nick Marrs will serve as pallbearers.   Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.   Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com
