Roxie Helen Marrs

Roxie Helen Marrs, age 77, of Boissevain, VA, died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Mercer Nursing and Rehab Center.Born on April 5, 1939 in Brewsterdale, WV, she was the daughter of the late Davis and Rosie Nunley Bowman. She had lived in Boissevain since 1971 and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Marrs; and 2 brothers, Robert and Irvin Bowman. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors:Sons: Danny Marrs and wife Julia of Conway, SC; Eddie Marrs of Princeton, WV; Donald Marrs of Boissevain, VA; Brothers: Charles Bowman, Fred Bowman, Harvey Bowman and Stewart Bowman all of Martinsville, VA; Sister: Lucy Blevins of Martinsville, VA; 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great-GrandchildFuneral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday afternoon from 12:-00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
