Richard Eugene Roark, Sr.

Richard Eugene Roark, Sr., 52, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on December 28, 1963 in Bluefield, he was a son of Irene Pruitt Roark of Marion, OH and the late Billy E. Roark. He had been a resident of Princeton for 18 years and loved fishing, his family and his vehicles. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, a granddaughter, Madison England, and an uncle, Brad. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Stacy Roark, of the home; children, Kary England and husband Russell, Richard Roark, Jr., and Rebecca Harris and husband Brian; grandchildren, Keanna Roark, Alexis Flynn, Nevaeh Harris, Aiden Harris, Nicole England, and Tyler England; brothers and sisters, Sandra Diaz and husband Elizer, Billy Roark, Douglas Roark and wife Christy, and Sarah Roark, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. L. A. Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Tim Cox, Richard Roark, Jr., William Robertson, Ralph Munsey, III, Jason Hartman, and Robbie Pendergrass will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00-1:00PM at the funeral home.
