James Lewis Mitchem

James Lewis Mitchem, 70, of Power House Hill Road, Maybeury, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston. Born on August 20, 1946 in Eckman, WV, he was a son of the late Noah and Leona Lambert Mitchem. He had been a resident of Maybeury for 38 years and attended the Church of God. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by 3 stillborn siblings, and three sisters, Martha Collins, Hazel Mitchem, and Susan Broomfield. Survivors include two brothers, John Mitchem of Maybeury and Danny Mitchem and wife Jenny of Crumpler; and three sisters, Loretta Green of Hemphill, Shirley Rotenberry of Northfork, and Nancy Mullins and husband John of Vivian, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Maybeury Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating.
