Geraldine Wellman

Geraldine Wellman, 74, of Beckley Road Princeton, West Virginia passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia. Geraldine was born on January 27, 1942 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Lawrence and Delpha Church Hale. She attended the Princeton Church of God and had been a resident of Princeton, West Virginia for the past 24 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Irvine Wellman, Sr. Survivors include two sons Joseph I. Wellman, Jr. and wife Misti of Princeton, West Virginia and Jeffrey L. Wellman of Princeton, West Virginia. Three brothers Donnie Hale of Welch, West Virginia, Dennis Hale of Welch, West Virginia and Tommy Hale of Statesville, North Carolina. One sister Barbara Morgan of Princeton, West Virginia. Four grandchildren Sarah Lackey and husband Joseph of Bluefield, West Virginia, Joshua H. Wellman of Princeton, West Virginia, Holly E. Wellman of Bluefield, West Virginia and Jered B. Wellman of Princeton, West Virginia. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with Rev. Derek Wilson officiating the funeral service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia with friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
