Belinda O’Bryan Davis passed away at her home in Abbs Valley on Labor Day. She is survived by her husband Eddie and her son Dustin. Also surviving are sisters Beverly Frowen of Manassas and Bonnie Phillips of Bluefield and brother Barry O’Bryan of Beckley and their families.
Belinda was a lifelong resident of Abbs Valley. She loved and took care of her parents Jack and Betty McCormick O’Bryan until their deaths. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ray Phillips. She had a big heart for all of her nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her. She always found something good in everyone and could never turn her back on a stray dog or cat! Dustin’s many friends thought of her as “Mom”.
Belinda – or BJ, as many called her – will be greatly missed by her family and the lifelong friends she has made. Whenever you see a butterfly, just smile.
At the time of her death, Belinda was employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections, where she shared a wealth of friends and coworkers. She was also employed by Bluefield Regional Medical Center for many years and she made many wonderful friendships. She enjoyed tenure as an EMT at Rescue 945.
