Goldie Mae Sutherland

Goldie Mae Sutherland, 90, of Bluewell, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on March 27, 1926 in Twin Branch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Christine Roop Wright. She had been a resident for Bluewell and Princeton for 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. (Baldy) Sutherland, brothers, James and Harold Wright; and sister, Louise Maddow. Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Kenneth Sutherland and wife Sharon of Warren, MI, Jerry Sutherland and Patti of Morgantown; daughters, Rhonda and husband Mike Jones of Bluewell, Cathy and husband Emory Marchant of Lerona; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Earl Wright of Warren, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Emory Marchant officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home.
