Joan Marie Miller

Joan Marie Parks Miller, age 69, of Anawalt, WV died on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Welch Community Hospital. Born on December 16, 1946 in Pageton, WV, she was a daughter of the late Fred Lee and Hazel Parks. She had lived in Anawalt for 40 years and was a member of the Black Wolfe Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Miller, Sr. Survivors include: Sons: Kenneth Ray Miller, Jr. and wife Misty of Lerona, WV Chad A. Miller and wife Sarah of Camp Creek, WV Daughter: Sherry A. Brunk and husband David of Concord, NC Brothers: Garnet Parks, John Parks, Ted Parks, and a step-brother, Michael Parks Sisters: Liz Sparks, Teresa Anstine, Jean Parks, and Zina Miller 4 grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Chuck Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
