Etta Kate Reynolds

Etta Kate Reynolds, of Longacre Lane, Princeton, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home. Born on April 23, 1930 in Yukon, she was a daughter of the late Isaiah and Flora Vance Kennedy. She had been a resident of Princeton for 24 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton and had also attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Reynolds, Sr.; brothers, Fred, Oliver, Carl, Clarence, and Steve Kennedy; sister, Dorothy Hodges, four grandchildren and a daughter in law, Birdie Reynolds. Survivors include her sons, Freddie Reynolds and wife Shelby of Princeton, Thomas Reynolds and wife Texas of Princeton, Michael Reynolds and wife Bonnie of Abingdon, VA, Gregory Reynolds of Iaeger, Ricky Reynolds and wife Lois of Tazewell, VA, and Keith Reynolds of Princeton; daughters, Brenda W. Farmer of Princeton, and Dreama Clark and husband David of Union Grove, NC; 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Kennedy and wife Loretta of Squire, and Charlie Kennedy and wife Ady of Livingston, TX; and sisters, Joanne Ward and husband Milton of Rosedale, VA, and Carol Edwards and husband Dennis of Dandridge, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 314 Oakvale Road, Princeton, WV with Brother Marvin Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Kennedy Family Cemetery on Three Forks Mountain in Jolo, WV where grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 PM at Maranatha Baptist Church.
