Harold Edward "Whiskey" Marshall

Harold Edward “Whiskey” Marshall, 66, of Longview Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at his home. Born on March 8, 1950 in Princeton, he was a son of the late Harold J. and Fairly Ann Nelson Marshall. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 12 years and as a graduate of Princeton High School. He retired in March 2016 as a coal miner with 45 years of service and had worked for US Steel and Cleveland Cliff. He was a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge and Princeton Moose. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lambert Marshall of the home; sons, Jamie Marshall and wife Melissa of Princeton, and Craig Marshall and wife Linda of Rainelle; stepson, Seth Kirby of Bluefield; stepdaughter, Brandi Kirby of Port Richey, FL; brothers, Jim Marshall, Richard Marshall, and Robert Marshall, all of Princeton; sisters, Vicky Marshall of Shelby, NC and Teresa Derenge of Bluefield; and 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Friends may call on Monday prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with family members officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Wesley Marshall, Bradley Marshall, Christian Marshall, and Seth Marshall, John Chase, and TC Warner will serve as pallbearers.
