Carolyn Lee "Me-Me" Taylor

Carolyn “Me-Me” Lee Curry Taylor, 71, of Rock, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on March 4, 1945 in Henry Co Virginia to the late Faye Harrell Curry and James Edgar Curry. Carolyn was a resident of Mercer County for 41 years as a homemaker. She was member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ and a member of the Ladies that Care group. In additions to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lane Taylor, mother in law Mildred Fitzko and brother in law Johnny Taylor. She is survived by two daughters Monica Williams and husband Johnny of Rock and Candice Taylor of Bluefield, VA.; two grandchildren she adored, Jonathon and Kayla Williams and they adored her; one sister: Linda Willard of Fieldale, VA; one brother, James Curry and wife Judy of Fieldale, VA; sister in law’s Linda Lilly and Roger of Rock, WV, Ruth Ann Greer and Jerry of Basset VA; brother in law’s Lonnie Taylor and Glenna Princeton, WV, James Taylor and Bonnie of Rock, WV and of host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Gary Lamie officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Jonathan Williams, Johnny Williams, Roger Hayzlett, Shawn Lilly, Roger Lilly, Jr., and Dewayne Taylor will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Church of Christ, Ladies That Care; 664 Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV 24701.
