Christopher Allen Mounts

Christopher Allen Mounts, 34, of Rock, WV, passed away Saturday July 9, 2016 at the Cascades Recreation Park while rescuing his son from the water. Born October 16, 1981 in Logan, WV he was a son of Patricia Maynard Coeburn of Bluefield, WV and the late James Coeburn. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and had been a resident of Rock all of his life. He was a Graduate of Montcalm High School, a member of Cross Fit in Bluefield, WV, and was a Service Tech. with Ferrell Gas in Princeton, WV. Survivors include his Mother; Patricia Coeburn of Bluefield, WV, wife of twelve years; Jessica Johnson Mounts of the home, two sons; Chase and Peyton Mounts also of the home, two brothers; Jeremy Mounts and wife Deanna of Bluefield, WV, Anthony Mounts and wife Brandi of Rock, WV, a sister; Kristy Hatfield and husband Jeff of Bluefield, WV, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Mounts will be conducted Friday July 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cravens –Shires Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell. Pallbearers will be close friends. Friends may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Thursday 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
