C.W. Havens, Jr., 51, of Hillside Drive, Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home.
Born on November 5, 1964 in Bluefield, he was a son of Mary Johnson Havens of Bland, VA and the late Clyde Havens, Sr. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 26 years and was a graduate of Bland High School. He was an engineer with Norfolk & Southern Railroad with 25 years of service and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David “Mack” Bogle.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Carol Ameli Havens of the home; daughter, Jessica Havens of the home; son, Chris Havens of the home; mother, Mary Johnson Havens of Bland, VA, sisters, Mary Cole and Terry of Draper, VA, Melissa Myers and David of Bland, VA, and Kathy Cocus and Brian of Princeton, WV .; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield with Deacon Don Hammond and Rev. Father Sebastian Devasi officiating. Burial will follow at the Hoges Chapel Cemetery in Bland, VA, where Ray Johnson, Terry Cole, Brian Cocus, Dan Ameli, David Bogle and Ben Cocus will serve as pallbearers.
