Melissa Price

Melissa F. Price, 50, of College Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born on July 13, 1965 in Princeton, she was a daughter of the late Clinton Edward and Frances Lawson Witt. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 5 months and formerly of Falls Mills, VA for 17 years. She was also a member of the Church of God in Bluefield, VA. She enjoyed singing with the praise and worship team. She attended Princeton High School and National Business College. She was an assistant manager at Bonworth at Mercer Mall before her illness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Ann Thompson. Survivors include her husband, Darrell Price of the home; four daughters, Ashley Price of the home, Kimberly Thompson and husband Jason of Charleston, Amber Sudduth and husband IV of Bluefield, and Katherine Price of Cleveland, TN; 3 grandchildren, Brianna Thompson, Tyler Thompson, and Greyson Sudduth; sisters, Charlotte “Jean” Roten and Paul of Abbs Valley, VA, Darless Akers and Jackie of Princeton, Patricia Pendleton of Oakvale, WV, and Mary Johnston and Jerry of Princeton; and brother, Ronald (David) Witt and Katherine of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Tony Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
