Fannie Tagnessi Rose

Fannie Tagnesi Rose, 83, of Vinton, VA formerly of Anawalt, WV passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities in Hardy, VA. Born July 11, 1932 in McDowell, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Katie Tagnesi. She retired from the McDowell County Courthouse in Welch and later from Fallen Creek Elementary School in Christiansburg, VA. She was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Rose; a brother, Sam Tagnesi; and sister Mary Harshbarger. She is survived by her daughters Wanda (George) Stepp of Ocala, FL; , Mary (Jim) Otey of New Market, VA; and Barbara (Bob) Andrew of Vinton, VA; her grandchildren, Michael Stepp, Jennifer Dove, Matthew Otey and Catherine Perdikoylis; great grand-children, Miranda Stepp, Brady Dove, Cedric and Hayden Otey; sisters, Josephine Dickerson of Vinton, VA, and Teresa Osburn of Vinton, VA; brothers: John Tagnesi of Winchester, VA, Tom Tagnesi of Glen Carbon, IL, and Joe Tagnesi of Charleston, WV special friend, Elmer Sink of Hardy, VA ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Deacon Don Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell Wes Dove, Matt Otey, Chris, Perdikoylis, Gary Dickerson, Larry Dickerson, Michael Stepp, and Bob Andrew will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
