Keith Bradford Parks

Keith Bradford Parks, 63, of Cook Street, Mullens, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his home. Born on December 25, 1952 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Margaret Davis Compton. He was a member of the Hotckiss Church of God. He was a graduate of Gary High School and received his BS in Education from Lee College. He then obtained his Master’s degree plus 15 hours from Marshall University. He was a retired school teacher for 20 years, having taught in Philadelphia, PA and in McDowell County. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Steele; and his grandparents, J.L. and Mirtie Davis. Survivors include a brother, Nick Jackitch of Tampa, FL, and a sister, Drucilla Compton of Mullens, WV; one niece and four nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Billy Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
