Linda Sue Taylor, 69, of Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on December 4, 1946 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Anderson “Doc” Parrish and Myrtle Parrish. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield for 9 years, attended the Church of God, and was a retired home health care worker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Brown; and a brother, Richard Parrish. Survivors include: husband, Roger Taylor of the home; sons, Ben Brown of Princeton, and Brian Hall of Princeton; daughter, Melissa Compos and husband Victor of Princeton; brothers, Philip Parrish and wife Kelly of Princeton, WV, and Obie Parrish and wife Sheila of Princeton, WV; and sisters, Maxine Brown and husband Wallace of Bassett, VA, Diann Shrewbury and husband Ronnie of Spanishburg, Karen O’Quinn of Princeton, and Nancy Humphreys and husband Milton “Doc” of Red Sulpher Springs, WV, Ada Jean Demas and husband Harold of Centerville, VA, Tammy Bakker and husband Dillon of Dunedin, FL, Faye Parrish of Clearwater, FL, Tina Thomas and husband Timothy of Clearwater, FL, Sandra Eaton and husband Teddy of Norwich, CT, and Hattie “Pat” Logan of Norwich, CT. Grandchildren: Shane Brown and Fiancée Lindsey of Princeton, WV, Latisha Bish and husband Josh of Princeton, WV, Carl Junior “C.J.” Harris and Fiance’e Holly of Gainesville, FL, Miranda Shindler and husband Gregory of Gastonia, NC, James Hall of Gastonia, NC, Jennifer Hall of Princeton, WV, Hayley Hall of Princeton, WV. Great-Grandchildren: Josiah, Amiah, Jeremiah, Jade, Ezekiel, Theron, Marley and Grace. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Henry Conley officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
