Mary Bell Tabor

Mary Bell Bowman Tabor, 83, of Idle Acres Drive (Brushfork), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Cassell’s Board and Care in Princeton. Born on August 3, 1932 in Tazewell, VA, she was a daughter of the late Howard Lane and Mary Leo Hash Bowman. She had been a resident of Brushfork for 62 years and was a member of the Midway Christian Church. She formerly worked at Bluefield Sanitarium and had retired from Bluefield Regional Medical Center in 1986, where she was a nurse’s aide in the newborn nursery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Tabor; and brothers, Carl, Jack, Joe, and Harold Bowman. Survivors include: Sons: Paul Alvin Tabor and wife Marion Tabor of Harlem, GA Michael Lane Tabor of Waynesboro, GA Daughters: Linda Jane Goins-Castle and husband James Castle, III of Brushfork Vickie Lynn Coeburn and husband Billy Coeburn of Bluefield Grandchildren: Rebecca Wellman and husband Michael Wellman of Bluefield, WV Tyson Goins of Bluefield James Paul Tabor of Harlem, GA Thomas Tabor of Harlem, GA Great grandchild: Ashton Tabor of Harlem, GA Sisters: Francis Jones of Horsepen, VA Virginia Marrs of Bluefield, WV Sister in law: Molly Bowman of Horsepen, WV Special caregivers: Staff of Hospice Compassus and Cassell’s Board and Care Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Ministers Dan Webb and Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with nephews serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Acres Service Camp, 1351 Evangelism Road, Bluefield, WV 24701.
