Herman "Buck" Cline

Herman “Buck” Cline, Jr. age 56, of Old Timer Road, Peterstown, WV, formerly of Litwar, died on Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home. Born on January 2, 1960, in Welch, WV, he was a son of Shirley Cline of Ballard, WV and the late Herman Cline, Sr. He had lived in Peterstown for the past 4 years and was a retired coal miner with 28 years of service. He was a member of the Peterstown Missionary Baptist Church as well as a member of the UMWA. He loved riding his Harley, but, spending time with his family was always his favorite thing to do. He was an amazing family man. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Halsey Roberts, Sr. and Marie Roberts. Those left to cherish his memory include: His wife of 33 years and High School sweetheart: Brenda Roberts Cline of the home. Mother: Shirley Cline of Ballard, formerly of Litwar Daughter and pride and joy: Brittany Cline and companion Kasey of Litwar. Sister: Johnnie Blankenship and husband Joey of Princeton, WV Lifelong best friend and brother in life: Eddie Duty Sisters-in-law: Betty Tucker and husband Neil of Sarasota, FL, Barbara Maxwell and Carmellia Roberts of Johnnycake, WV, Kathy Hamilton and Tom Hayes of Greenville, WV, Pam Baumgardner and James Lavender of Milton, WV and Carla Terry and husband Gary of Sugar Grove, VA. Brothers-in-law: Halsey Roberts, Jr. and wife Alice of Harmony, NC and Jackie Roberts and wife Shannon of Princeton, WV. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Bryan Pruett officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be Halsey Roberts, Jr., Eddie Duty, Kasey Salyers, Jackie Roberts, Jessie Roberts, Eric Johnson, Gary Terry, John Terry, Neil Tucker, Jarrod Hill, Bobby Ratliff and Joey Blankenship. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
