Sam Walter Perdue, 76, of Hutchins Hollow Road Maybeury, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 06, 2016 at his residence. Sam was born on August 04, 1939 in Barlow, West Virginia to the late Raymond and Ruth Wimmer Perdue. He had been a lifelong resident of Maybeury and attended the Maybeury Church of God. Sam was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Ray Perdue. Survivors Include: His wife: Shirley Woods Perdue of the home Three Sons: Brian Perdue of Princeton, WV Mark “Bubby” Perdue and wife Susan of Maybeury, WV Ralph Perdue of Maybeury, WV One Daughter: Tina Richardson and husband Todd of Princeton, WV Seven Grandchildren: Johnathan, Jacob and Jayson Perdue; Katie Lester and husband T.J.; Hannah Perdue; Alyssa and Hunter Richardson Two Great Grandchildren: Daycee and Malachi Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 09, 2016 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Miller and Rev. Kenneth Abram officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV where Todd Richardson, Johnathan Perdue, Jacob Perdue, Jayson Perdue, T.J. Lester and Marty Perdue will serve as pallbearers. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, April 08, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
